There are many advantages of the studying abroad. In the same time there are some problems which refer to the education in the United Kingdom. United Kingdom is developed, modern western country and some students whose native countries are situated in Africa and Asia cannot cope with the new culture and have a feeling of cultural shock. International students have to spend much time and efforts to cope with new environment and to get accustomed with new and unusual norms.
Below some rules are described which can help the students to survive in UK and make the studying process interesting, impressive and exciting.
- There are so – called mentors in the universities and colleges. These people can help the foreign students to get accustomed with new environment. Foreign students can also receive consultation of the mentors and they have to answer all the questions concerning educational process and academic challenges.
- There are also special support/ advice centers in the UK educational institutions. There foreign students can get assistance and advice concerning their problems. Usually the questions and problems of the foreign students refer to the socializing and academic success. Besides, the students can receive consultations concerning the part time job during their education in foreign country.
- The third advice is to communicate with the students from UK and with the students with the same nationality. Foreign students can also organize their national groups. It will help them to feel more comfortable and to avoid some types of problems.
